Rumer Brand, Pump & Wrap

Byrumer was imagined as a brand that speaks in a subtle, sensual voice, grounded in wellbeing and a muted sense of luxury.

My role was to build this from the ground up, developing a brand identity, logo design, and packaging system that carried a brand voice from first impression to final touch.

The logo and identity were pared back, the branding and product styling is meant to be subtle, tone to come through in the materials and finishes. Packaging design became the bridge between concept and experience. Working with suppliers in China, I oversaw the production of an airless pump system with a debossed finish. The result feels both understated and engaging, designed to be admired, held as much as used.

To complete the experience, I created a custom paper wrap that would sit around the product like a tailored garment. The paper wrap was initially designed to be a low-waste solution, reduce ecological impacts, and wrapping a cylinder was a challenge that involved lots of prototyping. Produced in Claret Colourplan paper chosen by the Rumer team, it introduced a richness of colour and tactility, aligning with the brand’s atmosphere of sensual indulgence.

Byrumer’s identity and packaging capture a refined sensuality – one of connection, care, and timeless wellbeing, expressed through material, finish, and form.
