Savour Brand Reinvention, packaging shift!

Auda with her Savour Vegan Cheeses

Here we have Auda, pre-myself being engaged in the project.

My first contact with Auda from Savour began with a simple exchange of emails, and a get together. We talked about flavour, presentation, and how design might support a product already full of character.

When I visited Savour in Sandringham, I got to see their cheeses and try them for myself. Tasting, it was clear the products spoke for themselves. The question was how their brand and packaging could reflect that same quality and care.

From the beginning, our discussions mixed practical details with creative concepts. Auda and Sabrina shared mood boards with rich, moody imagery that captured their sense of identity. I shared thoughts on different packaging approaches, exploring how to balance visibility, protection, and presentation.

That first meeting set an easy and collaborative tone. It was less about a fixed plan and more about exploring options together, how Savour’s cheeses could be presented in a way that felt true to their craft and inviting to their customers.

Once the project kicked off it was straight into the deep end, deadlines, low packaging stock, and quick morning drop-ins to chat ideas. We started tossing around options, from simple tweaks through to pulp-formed trays (think mini egg carton flipped over, holding the cheese snug inside). It was very much a “let’s just get something happening” vibe, balancing urgency with creativity. That back-and-forth set the tone for how the project grew: practical, collaborative, and always with an eye on keeping things true to Savour.
